    Job Description

    The Deposit Operations Specialist is responsible for day-to-day deposit operations.

    Summary job responsibilities are noted below and should be performed in a manner that will ensure regulatory and bank policy compliance.

    Balance subsystems and correspondent accounts. Document errors and resolve reconciliation issues.
    Participate in the bank's wire transfer, ACH, and related processes.
    Communicate with internal and external customers on operations issues and coordinate follow up.
    Assist during regulatory exams, external and internal audits, including management responses to audit findings and corrective actions.
    Assist with year-end reporting, including IRA, HSA, and tax.

    Compile identified errors throughout the bank/departments and utilize the examples to enhance staff training, improve processes, communication, and overall efficiency of the deposit operations communication and functions.

    Assist in the development and maintenance of internal controls including segregation of duties, industry-standard security measures, and expected regulatory, internal checks and balances.

    Conduct monitoring of the controls to ensure effectiveness throughout the year.
    Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
    Verbal and written communication skills
    Ability to research, interpret, analyze, and report operational data clearly
    Proficiency in standard Windows office programs
    Ability to make sound decisions, prioritize work, and meet deadlines
    Education & Experience

    A minimum of 3-5 years previous bank operations experience and working knowledge of bank operational procedures OR five or more years of compliance or bank audit experience
    Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
    Well-versed in Federal and state banking regulations related to deposit functions.

    Additional experience in other banking job functions
