"Split Shift" Site Lead

Position Overview:

Work ED is seeking a dynamic and driven Site Lead to join our rapidly growing team in Covina, CA.

As a Split Shift Program Site Lead with Work ED, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our before and after school programs for TK-8.

This position requires someone who is not only passionate about working with children but also capable of managing a split shift schedule to accommodate our program's hours.

Schedule:
Monday through Friday. Saturday and Sunday as needed.

Shift: 6am - 8am & 12pm - 6pm (Split Shift)


Pay:
$25.00-$30.00 DOE


Training Start date:
June 3, 2024


Site Launch Date:
July 24, 2024


Responsibilities:


  • Track attendance and facilitate rosters for both before and after school programs, ensuring accurate recordkeeping.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with instructors, school staff, and administrators to foster a collaborative environment.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of all after school activities and programs offered at your designated site.
  • Coordinate classroom space and other logístical needs in conjunction with Community Partners and school staff/administrators.
  • Provide daily communication and support to all community partner instructors, ensuring a cohesive and effective program delivery.
  • Possess indepth knowledge of all Work ED curriculums being taught onsite, and be able to support instructors in implementing them effectively.
  • Lead and supervise staff members to ensure activities are presented to students properly and all classes are adequately covered.
  • Prepare and distribute snacks for students at specified times, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
  • Offer health and behavioral support to students as needed, maintaining a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Conduct weekly communication with parents, staff, and district representatives to provide updates and address any concerns.
  • Ensure all reporting requirements for the school site are met accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a constant focus on student safety, ensuring all students are accounted for and supervised at all times.

Qualifications:


  • Previous experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work a split shift schedule, including mornings and afternoons.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of basic health and safety protocols for working with children.
  • Dedication to promoting a positive and enriching experience for all program participants.

Proof of Education:


Education Requirement:


  • High school diploma or the equivalent, and

Either:

  • Two years of college (48 units), or
  • An Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree (or higher), or
  • Successful completion of a local assessment of knowledge and skills in assisting in instruction.
