Job Summary:


The Manager, Remote Operations manages the central control room of operators who are responsible for providing 24 x 7 remote plant operation for the business.

He/she provides direct supervision of the operator team and maintains an atmosphere focused on safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

Principal Responsibilities:


  • Provide direct supervision of the team of Remote Operators and Lead Remote Operators with a focus on plant effectiveness through process troubleshooting and team capability development.
  • Drive improvement initiatives for the ROC centering on efficiency, risk reduction, digitalization, and operational excellence.
  • Responsible for execution of the production plan and power management plan. This includes the power company 24hour call center function for energy events.
  • Responsibility for ROC operator training. Overall ownership for both general and plant specific work procedures maintained by the ROC.
  • Manage the HSEQ and regulatory processes within the ROC including the Central QC unit.
  • Manage both new plant integration into the ROC and new business support requests (REACT).
  • Influence and collaborate with the field teams to enhance operational discipline (procedural compliance, TRP, J5 open items, etc.) across the organization.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in a process plant related operations or engineering role
