Position Summary
The Outreach Coordinator is a new, primarily outward-facing role working to promote TNP services and programs.

This person will work to ensure that potential customers know how to access TNP services and understand where they can best be served within the organization by providing online and in-person informational sessions.

As needed, this position will also provide reinforcement to our intake services, foreclosure prevention and rental assistance staff to ensure that customers are able complete the intake process and access services as quickly and with as few barriers as possible.


Responsibilities

_Leads Development_

  • Host informational sessions (online or in person) to provide information regarding homeownership or savings opportunities
  • Assist customers and potential customers (leads) with questions regarding intake process
  • Ensure that potential customers have a clear understanding of services available to them through TNP and the FEC
  • Together with the Receptionist/Intake Coordinator, as needed following up with any leads who have not completed the intake process
  • Establish open office hours where you are available to answer questions of customers and leads, ensuring that access to staff is customercentric
  • Develop a list of referral partners for customers whose goals cannot be fully realized at TNP

_Marketing and Outreach_

  • In partnership with program directors, develop a marketing and outreach strategy
  • In coordination with the FEC, identify community partners to host informational sessions
  • Participate in fairs, public presentations, and other neighborhood events
  • Act in lead role conducting community assessments and surveys
  • In coordination with the FEC, counseling team and NSP, cultivate new agency partnerships and sources for distributing housing counseling services and program information

_Program Support_

  • Manage the Community Building and Engagement program objectives
  • Participate in staffing any emergency assistance programs, screening applicants and providing intake support
  • Assist Safety First counseling staff, as needed
  • Participate in training activities to enable greater participation in "Help for Homeowners" service delivery

Work Environment

  • This position operates primarily in an office environment that is accessible. Some work at offsite locations may be required.
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets, and fax machines
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.


The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.


  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 40 pounds
  • This position requires flexible, part time attendance during business hours from 9am to
5pm, Monday through Friday with occasional evening and weekend hours

Qualifications:


_Education_

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree or equivalent experience required

_Experience_

  • Experience in marketing/outreach
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
  • Nonprofit experience is a plus
  • Strong commitment to social justice

_Licenses/Certification_:


  • Housing Counseling Certified this must be completed within 1218 months of hire date_

_Computer and software knowledge_

  • PC literate with strong skills and experience in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Proficiency desired in all social media platforms

Job Type:
Part-time

$18.00 per hour
