    Overview:
    The Supply Chain Courier Manager is responsible for the performance of Supply Chain Courier Operations. The Managers responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assessing and meeting customer needs, communicating business goals and objectives to partners, and addressing partner issues and concerns. The Manager is also responsible for monitoring staffing and overtime, issuing corrective actions, completing performance evaluations and maintaining a strong focus on safety in the workplace.

    Responsibilities:

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Must follow detailed route instructions and schedules, keep detailed logs, secure keys and key cards at all times, and be aware and report all vehicle issues.
    • Will be required to be trained on every courier run, train and retrain drivers as needed.
    • Oversee day to day operations.
    • Responsible for the supervision of all staff which includes, scheduling, payroll approval, hiring, corrective action, and annual evaluations.
    • Schedule drivers, review daily logs, approve rewriting of procedures as needed.
    • Maintain route optimization
    • Periodically go on runs to review driver, route, and procedures.
    • Oversee vehicle maintenance.
    • Oversee vehicle registration for all system vehicles.
    • Insures drop off and pick up locations are up to date.
    • Contact all Mercyhealth locations on a regular basis for changes and suggestions.
    • Responsible for maintaining credit card charges and maintain budget.
    • Assists with annual budget.

    Education and Experience

    Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain is required.

    Three years of leadership experience required.

    Experience in a hospital supply chain area preferred.

    Certification and Licensure

    For those driving Mercyhealth vehicles:
    Maintain a valid driver's license.
    Have and maintain an acceptable driving record per Mercyhealth's HR.100 Fleet and Driver Safety policy.

    For those driving their personal vehicles:
    Maintain a valid driver's license and reliable transportation with proof of vehicle insurance when requested.
    Have and maintain an acceptable driving record per Mercyhealth's HR.100 Fleet and Driver Safety policy.

The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
