SUMMARY


Develop, evaluate, and improve gas turbine service methods including support of management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing, design, and service capabilities.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support Engineering team members for root cause investigations, including analysis of fracture surfaces, thermal system modeling, and failure investigations.
  • Confer with engineering staff to develop and author work procedures for the individual steps of the manufacturing/repair process.
  • Perform data analysis for trending of operation, component life extension analysis and FMEA, component degradation evaluation, etc.
  • Report creation and clean up and publishing to Product Data Management Systems.
  • Assist and guide project management of tasking and review and report out to leadership
  • Support team members in evaluation of vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluate products according to specifications and quality standards.
  • And, perform such other duties as may be required from time to time by the company.

  • Education and/or Experience**:Student in a B.S. Mechanical, Aerospace, Material Science, Computer Science Engineering program at a University.
  • Language Skills**:Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in oneonone and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Mathematical Skills**:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Spreadsheet software, PowerPoint software and Word Processing software. Coding experience in Python, MatLab, C++ is preferred.
