- Pipeline development via new customer acquisition
- Achieve quarterly and annual sales quotas
- Receive marketing qualified leads, conduct lead follow up, initiation of contact, account research/identification of key stakeholders and buyers, and coordination of prospecting discussions in conjunction with other CDS sales resources for pursuit development
- In collaboration with the sales and data services teams, lead the end to end sales pursuit lifecycle using Convergences sales process and methodology to identify pain points, needs, and business and technical requirements to develop a solution design, quote, and statement of work (SOW) and/or licensing agreement through negotiation and deployment
- In collaboration with product management and engineering, run sales demos of CDS software platforms and products
- Work across multiple sales channels to engage with CDS partners in joint sales opportunities
- Support marketing activities from a sales perspective (e.g. attend conferences for purposes of sales networking and lead generation)
- Be present for project kickoff after deals have closed
- Participate in sales strategy development and team growth activities
- 4-5 years minimum experience in software sales and/or professional services
- Experience in one or more of the following industries: industrial manufacturing and distribution (especially electronics, HVAC, and/or semiconductors), aerospace and defense, automotive, oilfield, and adjacent industries
- High-level familiarity with product data best practices, especially for ecommerce, product information management systems (PIM), master data management platforms (MDM) and/or product lifecycle management (PLM), parts data management, classification, etc.
- Familiarity with CRM systems such as HubSpot and Salesforce
- Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales quotas
- Demonstrated negotiation skills
- Exceptional professional presentation, verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to communicate with executive stakeholders
- Based in Orlando and willing to commute - hybrid office (Mon-Wed onsite, Thu/Fri remote)
- Travel to conferences required several times per year
- Experience selling both professional services (such as consulting, IT or data services) and software
- Proficiency in use of HubSpot CRM
- Background in information/data management, deep knowledge of product data or parts data best practices
- Experience with inbound marketing and lead generation
- Experience working in partnership with other organizations
- Able to leverage an existing network of relationships in CDS target industries in order to immediately engage in software and/or data services sales (hit the ground running)

With a high number of leads generated from conferences, marketing events, partner channels and thought leadership, CDS seeks an experienced Sales Executive to join our team and focus on promoting revenue growth through the development of new accounts. The candidate will target key engineering, marketing, ecommerce and data management stakeholders at senior and executive levels in industrial manufacturing and distribution organizations (from small/midsized to Fortune CDS is positioned for growth; the Sales Executive will have a path to a sales leadership role and candidates with previous leadership experience will be able to participate in sales strategy development and growth planning.
