    Description

    Amazon is looking for a Senior Site Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Manager.

    Join a team where health, safety, and well-being are top priorities.

    The ideal candidate will partner with site operations teams to ensure compliance with WHS policies and regulations.

    Using lean principles, you will lead initiatives to improve safety and health for associates.

    Building trust with cross-functional teams is key to this role, along with providing risk assessments and safety data analysis.

    Create and implement safety programs while developing a team of safety professionals.

    Responsibilities:

    • Act as SME of local/regional regulations and company WHS policy.
    • Provide guidance to ensure compliance with Amazon Safety Policies.
    • Measure site performance against safety policies, identifying and addressing deficiencies.
    • Deliver quality projects on time and review safety metrics regularly.
    • Mentor safety managers and associates.
    • Engage with Site Leadership to reduce incidents.
    • Partner with corporate and regional safety personnel to improve safety practices.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree
    • 7+ years in safety/environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations
    • 7+ years in people and performance management
    • CPR/First Aid Certification
    • Experience with lean principles
    • Willingness to work varied shifts

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Master's degree
    • Certified Safety Professional
    • Experience in a fast-paced organization
    • Interest in career development and management training
    • Track record of managing safety operations effectively
    • Strong communication skills
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
