Job Summary:
Washington Hebrew Congregation is searching for a Tier 1 IT Help Desk Technician.
We seek an individual who wants to be part of our community and can provide high-quality technical support and friendly customer service to our various administrative staff at schools two locations.

- Provide technical support to end users (teachers/clergy/administrators/students), as well as hardware and software.
- Troubleshoot Tier 1 hardware and software issues by diagnosing and documenting problems and their resolutions.
- Prioritize problems by assessing the impact on business operations.
- Service request tracking using the MSP ticketing system.
- Collaborate, coordinate, and escalate technical support for endusers, software, and hardware with the MSP (Managed Service Provider).
- Proactively plan, document, communicate, and implement software, hardware, and IT Infrastructure updates/upgrades. Patch management.
- Track and coordinate software renewals and hardware replacements.
- Coordinate employee onboarding/offboarding.
- Proactively implement cybersecurity measures and immediately respond to any security concerns.
- Create and maintain user guides/knowledge base.
- Preliminary network troubleshooting.
- Vendor relations include copier MPS (Managed Print Services), telecom system, and ISP (Internet Service Provider).
- Other duties as assigned.

- CompTIA A+ Certification
- 2+ Years of experience in a similar role
- HS Diploma or GED
Locations:
This position would require to split the week between two locations (Potomac and NW DC)
- Washington Hebrew Congregation (Temple): 3935 Macomb Street NW, Washington, DC 2001
- Julia Bindeman Suburban Center (JBSC): 11810 Falls Road, Potomac, MD 20854
Physical Demands and Work Environment:

- The physical arrangement of the office may require work in an environment close to other colleagues.
- The noise level in the work environment is low to high.
- The position will require one to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolds, and statues and work in confined spaces near loud equipment. It may also require work in confined spaces such as tables, server rooms, and crawl spaces.
- Pushing and pulling computers and other IT equipment. Lifting, raising, carrying, and holding devices and equipment ranging from 1 to 50 pounds.
- Travel between the Washington, DC, and Maryland locations regularly.
- May occasionally require evening and weekend hours.
