Office Manager

Reports to Store Manager and Office Supervisor

SUMMARY:

The store level office manager is responsible for all day to day activity involving the office environment.

Benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, vacation, sick, 401K and more, starting after 90 days of employment.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The below are performed in conjunction with the Store Manager and Office Supervisor

  • Day to Day supervision of all office employees including Office Support staff, including scheduling and insuring adequate personal are present to provide proper level of customer service.
  • Handles daily, routine discipline matters involving office personnel, including daily compliance with dress code. (Store Manager and Office Supervisor handle verbal and written warnings.)
  • Interview and hire all office employees. Follow all company policies and guidelines regarding interviewing, evaluation and hiring.
  • Train all new office employees to ensure their competence at their assigned duties
  • Ensures that all daily business has been properly processed including cash sales, charge sales, down payments, payments on account delivered business, credit and debit memos, and the completion of the daily statement of business.
  • Ensures that all cash funds are properly balanced and accounted for with a daily record of any cash overages or shortages maintained by Office Support personnel.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Must be able to perform any duties of other office personnel who are absent.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
The store level Office Manager must be a leader and co-worker.

The individual must demonstrate that he or she is a self-motivated individual who has the ability to supervise and discipline other employees and has a strong commitment to ensuring that the office procedures and policies of Schewel Furniture Company are strictly followed by all office personnel.

The Office Manager's appearance and attitude must be one of a professional who takes their position seriously and with great pride.

It must be understood that their personal appearance and attitude reflect up on them as an individual but more importantly, the public's image of Schewel Furniture Company.


EDUCATION
High school diploma required. Two years of college in a business-related field preferred.

Manager retains the discretion to add or change the duties to the position at any time.
