- Conduct thorough research and reconciliation of corporate accounts, meticulously gathering data and acquiring necessary supporting documentation from diverse systems and sources.
- Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams and clients to promptly identify and address any out-of-balance conditions, ensuring timely resolution of reconciling items.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process enhancement to mitigate or eliminate out-of-balance conditions and reconciling items, contributing to the overall efficiency of corporate accounting procedures.
- Contribute actively to the ongoing cleanup and maintenance of existing corporate accounts, ensuring consistency and accuracy in financial records.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships to facilitate the timely collection of accounts receivable, adeptly navigating internal and external channels to address any barriers to payment.
- Handle customer disputes with tact and professionalism, guiding them to resolution while meticulously documenting root causes for future reference.
- Address payment discrepancies promptly and effectively, while also providing timely responses to invoice inquiries, proof of delivery requests, and statements.
- Review purchase orders, contracts, and other agreements to ensure accurate invoice processing and account setup, maintaining compliance with established protocols.
- Provide valuable insights and recommendations on escalations and the collectability of accounts, advising on potential write-offs or legal actions when necessary.
- Actively engage and communicate within team-based work groups, fostering a collaborative environment conducive to achieving shared objectives.
- Experience with accounting software
- Basic accounting skills and experience with reconciling financial statements
