Description

Nova Storage is looking for motivated, enthusiastic, and friendly people for our Self Storage properties.

We are looking for a custodian/maintenance/customer service team member to perform routine cleaning, repair and general maintenance for our self storage facilities.

Also, to show storage units and collect rent from tenants.


Responsibilities

• Clean designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, restroom cleaning, etc)
• Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
• Carry out cleansing tasks and special projects
• Cooperate with the rest of the staff
• Pick up trash from all locations in the store throughout the day and as needed.
• Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects.
• Sanitize items in office on outside of building.
• Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs.
• Make adjustments and minor repairs.
• Additional custodian and maintenance duties as assigned by Manager.
• Tenant Relations: Daily interaction with all our storage tenants, using strong customer service skills.
• Environment: Ensure facility is well lit, clean, safe, and secure
• Follow direction of your property manager at the facility

Requirements:

• Proven working experience as a janitor
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
• Integrity and ability to work independently
• Valid driver's license, current auto insurance and automobile
• Customer service skills, and team player
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods
• Ability to lift and move over 60 pounds
• Knowledge of different cleaning products and tools
• Timemanagement and multitasking abilities
• Physical strength and stamina
• Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with mínimal supervision

Job description:

• Perform property repairs (gates, drywall, plumbing, lights, paint, plumbing, etc.).
• Sweep hallways as needed.
• Clean vacated spaces and abandoned goods as needed.
• Clean unit doors regularly.
• Maintain facility.
• Provide excellent customer service to our tenants.
