    Cardinal Digital Marketing is looking for a Group Media Director who will be responsible for leading a team in driving performance, strategy, and account growth for major multi-channel paid media clients. The Group Media Director will report directly to the VP of Media who will assist with strategic development, planning, and team management, but the Group Media Director should own and oversee all execution and reporting.

    The Group Media Director should have strong leadership and client facing skills and be able to lead the team during internal meetings, client meetings, and pitch meetings with new client prospects. This is a client-facing role. The ideal candidate will have experience developing and deploying paid media strategies across multiple channels, guiding an internal team towards successfully driving business growth for clients, and confidently recommending strategies to clients and defending the work.

    JOB SUMMARY

    • Successful delivery of account performance for all accounts on your team, ensuring performance & pacing goals are met on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis
    • Serve at the client-facing strategic lead for pillar accounts
    • Lead Quarterly Business Reviews & all expansion/upsell opportunities for pillar accounts
    • Manage team profitability and successfully deliver against the target operating margin
    • Own resource management for your team including hiring, reviews, goal setting, performance improvement plans, etc.
    • Own team member client assignments to ensure the right people are in the right seats, and that the team has the right bandwidth to deliver exceptional results.
    • Development of Associate Media Directors on your team - delegating responsibilities and work, setting client and personal growth objectives and measuring results, work with the VP of Media to enlist the team's support in Media Department process improvement.
    • Serve as the escalation point for Associate Media Directors in relation to client strategy/performance, as well as team management.
    • Actively works to increase billing and channel support for existing media accounts, and propose opportunities to expand media coverage for new accounts
    • Work with the VP of Media to vet media partners and martech vendors - Continually work to learn new strategies, test new platforms, and expand Cardinal's Paid Media offerings
    • Lead team training on existing platforms and tactics, as well as new technology and strategies
    • Ensure testing and strategy roadmaps are delivered to all held accounts on a regular cadence, and the suggested items are impactful and correctly prioritized
    • Responsible for ensuring the ongoing maintenance of held accounts including but not limited to optimizations, structural updates, bidding methodologies, conversion types and copy revisions
    • Responsible for ensuring the continual testing, verification, and improvement of full-funnel structures
    • Support the sales team with new business pitches and opportunities
    • Work with the VP of Media to develop Media POV's, industry-specific playbooks, case studies, etc.
    • Ensure the team is meeting deliverable SLA's

    REQUIREMENTS

    • 8-10+ years of Paid Media implementation, strategy, and management experience.
    • Experience managing multiple paid media clients, with budgets ranging between $100k-$1MM+ per month.
    • Experience managing & developing a team of media specialists/strategists - delegating work, establishing processes, and leading the team to the delivery of strong client results.
    • Experience driving paid media strategy, project roadmaps, media plans, competitive research, testing, and measurement frameworks for clients across multiple media channels.
    • Experience driving strategy and measuring client business success from a holistic multi-channel perspective, prioritizing the right channel and investment mix to deliver the most efficient total results.
    • Experience with Lead-Gen objectives – translating media platform results into business outcomes, improving lead quality signals, and establishing the pass back of offline conversion into reporting and campaign platforms.
    • Experience in hands-on campaign management & strategy across multiple platforms, including Google Ads, Bing Ads, Facebook/Instagram, Google Display, & Programmatic Display. (Experience with LinkedIn, Tik Tok, etc. are a plus)
    • Experience with Full-Funnel strategies, Awareness & Brand Lift initiatives, and the use of Video.
    • Experience with Google Analytics, GTM, conversion and optimization strategy (GA4 knowledge a plus)
    • Confident ability to communicate with and convince clients. Great at reporting and insights, and great at identifying and optimizing towards client businesses goals.
    • Experience supporting the pitch and sales process for new clients
    • Experience vetting MarTech vendors and deploying/testing new technology
