- Reviewing and preparing student accounts to send to the State Central Collections Unit (SCCU) for collection of debts owed to the university.
- Managing the payments and adjustments for accounts at SCCU.
- Daily opening and closing of cashier's offices along with verifying and preparing of daily bank deposits.
- Managing loan repayments in the GMS Revolving Loan Servicing System.
- Processing student and parent refunds, as well as creating scholarship transmittals.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

- High school diploma or GED required
- Four years accounting clerical experience.
- Customer service experience and/or cash handling and payment processing experience.
- Thorough knowledge of bookkeeping principles, mathematical methods and techniques and accounting standards.
- Must be able to operate calculators, personal computers, related software, and manual and automated office equipment.
- Must have the ability to understand the various privacy laws and audit requirements placed on the daily function of the position.
- Must be able to communicate effectively.
- Ability to prepare written records and reports.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Ability to train others in assigned accounting/clerical work
- Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships.
- Excellent communication skills to include written communication.
- Must have excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work under time restraints.
- Knowledge of and ability to adhere to all privacy rules including the campus provisions for FERPA, Graham Leach Bliley, and approved Red Flag Rules.
