Description

The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager will oversee the activity of the quality assurance department and staff, developing, implementing, and maintaining a system of quality and reliability testing for the organization's products and/or development processes.

QA deliverables and management involve the production and supervision of all outputs associated with Quality Assurance (QA) processes. These may include test plans, test cases, bug reports, and QA Metrics, among others.


For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.


Department Description

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
  • Typically 25 years of experience managing an information technology organization.
  • Familiar with Unified Functional Testing (UFT) automation scripts
  • Completed Eggplant developer certification
  • Demonstrated skill in managing technical staff.
  • Experienced in leading change management activities and managing their impact across the unit or department.
  • Experience of analyzing buy vs. build procurement for products for effective and efficient technology use.
  • Uses and applies advanced quality assurance principles, theories and concepts to manage functional area(s) and provide quality assurance recommendations and solutions.
  • Requires knowledge of policies and procedures and the ability to determine a course of action based on these guidelines.
  • Experience in the management of ongoing technology infrastructure acquisition and expansion, including the identification and integration of suitable emerging technologies.
  • Thorough knowledge of technical concepts and basic operating principles of data communications, computer hardware, vendor IT products, and software.
  • Ability to understand the process involved in adapting, integrating, and modifying existing programs or vendorsupplied products for use within the technical environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively present technical topics to individuals and groups with potentially varied levels of technical sophistication.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of service delivery principles.
  • Strong experience with developing and implementing solutions with industryleading automation systems
