Job Summary: The Principal Storage Engineer will take on the responsibility of overseeing storage services across multiple environments and offering solutions to storage-related issues. We are seeking a skilled problem-solver with a focus on mitigating and preventing storage issues, capable of working independently, planning effectively, and communicating clearly. This role may involve occasional on-call support and after-hours availability for installation and troubleshooting.

As a Principal Storage Engineer, you will primarily operate from our location in Richardson, TX. The ideal candidate should reside locally and be prepared to commute to Raytheon or customer sites as needed to support installation, integration, and testing.

Note: Some travel, up to 25%, may be necessary to support program activities.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

Designing and supporting advanced storage and virtualized infrastructure
Architecting and developing storage solutions optimized for performance and scalability across diverse environments and platforms
Utilizing Linux skills at the command line to maintain storage configurations for various storage devices
Collaborating with vendors for hardware and software installations and troubleshooting
Working with system administrators and other team members to implement storage configurations

Basic Qualifications:

Active TS/SCI security clearance required prior to start date; U.S. citizenship also necessary
BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) field and 8 years of relevant work experience
Comp TIA Security + Certification within 90 days of hire
Experience in designing, configuring, deploying, and supporting Network Attached Storage Systems
Familiarity with fiber channel configurations, enterprise backup architecture, and backup solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Containerized storage solutions
Proficiency in Linux System Administration and Agile Development Methodologies
Familiarity with Cloud Application Platforms, VM provisioning, and scripting languages
Knowledge of automation frameworks, code repository systems, and technology trade studies
Experience in coordinating across diverse contractors and customer personnel

Salary Range: $96,000 - $200,000 USD
