    Description

    Leeward Renewable Energy is a leading renewable energy company based in Dallas, Texas, with a diverse portfolio of renewable energy assets across multiple states in the U.S. Being a part of OMERS, one of Canada's largest pension plans, Leeward is committed to sustainable energy solutions.

    Position Overview:

    • Contribute to enhancing the reliability and performance of solar and storage assets at LRE
    • Utilize operational data to identify and address equipment performance issues
    • Analyze equipment failures and ensure proper documentation and management of technical specifications
    • Requires problem-solving skills specific to solar and battery storage plants
    • Effective communication and timely delivery on complex projects are key

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Maintain a safe and professional work environment at LRE facilities
    • Monitor the health of solar and storage equipment
    • Report and address equipment issues proactively
    • Develop monitoring strategies to detect equipment failures
    • Conduct detailed analysis of equipment failures
    • Document equipment failure modes and repair solutions
    • Perform root cause analysis on equipment failures
    • Support failure and health assessment through engineering analysis
    • Manage technical data of critical solar and storage equipment
    • Analyze component failure rates and spare part quantities
    • Define asset configurations for new plants to facilitate failure analysis

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical Engineering
    • 0-3 years of relevant technical experience, with a focus on solar or energy storage
    • Solid grasp of electrical engineering principles
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical ideas to non-technical audiences
    • Self-motivated with a track record of completing tasks efficiently

    Physical Requirements:

    • Capable of performing physical tasks such as standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, twisting, and reaching
    • Willingness to travel at least 25% of the time
    • Valid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle
