Position Overview:

In this role, you will be a part of a talented and mission-oriented professional team of federal engineers, active-duty Naval Officers, and Contract staff willing to roll up their sleeves and get missile defense capability out to the Fleet.

What You'll Be Doing:

Assess the degree to which the identified systems operations and technical requirements are being met and where improvements for modernization may be applied for the next generation of missile defense systems.
Responsible for the various Seabased Weapons Systems Program Offices to assess the complete Fleetbased mission Defense capability against stated requirements.
Responsible to the Chief Engineers and Chief System Engineer to assess and identify gaps in current baseline technical and operational capabilities as well as identifying areas for potential modernization of existing baseline.
Responsible for all requirements, including drafting, analyzing, assessing, and verifying.
Provide verification and validation of requirements.
Resolve complex technical issues and provide potential solutions to senior members of the Program Offices and the Missile Defense Agency.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

US Citizenship with Active Secret Clearance
Master's Degree with 12+ years of experience OR Bachelor's Degree with 20+ years of experience
Active SECRET Clearance
Works Independently, as a team member, or leading teams/tasks
Ability to provide program oversite and recommendations for resolution of complex technical issues to Senior Leadership within the Program office and MDA Leadership.
Some travel is required.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

Active TS/SCI Clearance
Prior experience with Aegis Weapons Systems
Experience with Weapon System Development Technical experience in one of the following areas: Fleet operations, systems engineering, missile systems, Aegis Qualifications, etc.
