Reporting to the Global Tax Reporting Senior Director, the Tax Reporting Manager is both a people and process leader on the Molson Coors' Global Tax Team based in Milwaukee. The Tax Reporting Manager is responsible for several aspects of and delivering on our continuous commitment to follow established tax accounting processes and principles in accordance with U.S. GAAP, and specifically "ASC 740." The Tax Reporting Manager will lead the quarterly preparation of Molson Coors' global consolidated tax provision and key tax disclosures as presented in our public financial statements. This role will lead a team of individual contributor(s) and will have broad exposure and significant responsibility within our Tax Team. The Tax Reporting Manager will be seen as an expert in tax accounting and reporting around the organization and will have meaningful collaboration with other finance functions, including Controllers, Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Treasury. Lastly, this role may be expected to support our tax compliance process, advisement of our businesses on tax matters, impact analysis of tax law changes, and management of inquiries by tax authorities.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the forecasting and computation of our interim period and annual effective tax rate as well as cash tax liability, [BB1] including analyzing the impact of tax initiatives, business changes, and proposed and enacted tax law, and preparing related summaries for Company leadership.
  • Serve as the Global Tax Team's "first point of contact" and liaison with our independent audit firm by understanding review priorities and expectations, and responding to information requests.
  • Engage with senior leaders and other stakeholders on complex tax accounting matters, including the implications of changes to tax law, and accounting standards and guidance, as well as business transactions and developments.
  • Lead[BB2] the development and maintenance of effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process and support periodic control reviews performed by our Internal Audit team and our independent audit firm.
  • Grow team capabilities, foster teamwork, and coach and mentor team members through workload delegation, training, supervision and work product review.
  • Assist with [BB3] the annual tax compliance process from a preparation and review perspective as well as manage the annual "true up" processes for tax returns filed around the world and related deferred tax positions.
  • Candidate Profile

She or he should be a "self-starter" who is able to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines within Molson Coors' fast-moving environment and flexible hybrid work arrangement. The successful candidate must be a strong team player, capable of working successfully with Tax and cross-functional teams. She or he must be able to effectively lead an experienced team of professionals, whether directly as a people leader or indirectly as a process leader and individual contributor.
