    Contract School Nurse (LPN) for school year

    ProCare Therapy is partnered with an excellent school district in Abbottstown, PA that is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate LPN to join their team as a School Nurse for the remainder of the school year with the opportunity to renew the following school year. The School Nurse will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and well-being of our students, faculty, and staff members.

    The selected candidate will be hired on as a full time contracted employee through ProCare Therapy. A full school year contract will be awarded for you to complete. While undergoing your assignment, you will be provided with: competitive compensation, weekly paychecks, and superior healthcare benefits through United Healthcare

    Caseload:

    • Full time: 37.5 hours per week
    • Monday - Friday
    • Hours: 7:30 - 2:30
    • K-12th grade caseload
    • Responsibilities may include: diabetic care, first aide, asthma, food allergies, communicating with staff and parents, charting, etc.

    Essential Duties:

    • Providing direct care to students with acute or chronic health conditions
    • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
    • Conducting health assessments and screenings
    • Managing medical emergencies and providing first aid as needed
    • Maintaining accurate health records and documentation
    • Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop individualized healthcare plans for students with special needs
    • Educating students, staff, and families on health-related topics and promoting wellness initiatives

    Requirements:

    • Active LPN license in Pennsylvania
    • Must have or willing to obtain Pennsylvania fingerprints & clearances
    • Associates in nursing
    • CPR & BLS certified
    • Previous pediatric or school nursing experience is preferred
    • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check

    • 10 15 minute screening call with a ProCare Therapy Recruiter
    • 20-30 Minute virtual interview directly with the school district
    • Offer is typically within 24-48hours of the virtual interview
