The Patient Representative functions as an extension of the provider within a Physician Practice. Therefore, the Patient Representative must consistently demonstrate customer service skills in line with the practice's standards.

Collecting accurate demographic details from patients during each visit is crucial to ensure safe and precise care delivery and follow-up.

Responsibilities include patient scheduling, preregistration, registration, and insurance authorization for outpatient departments.

Qualifications

Requirements:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Minimum one year of experience in administrative support or customer service
Preferred two or more years of experience in a medical office
Familiarity with medical terminology & hospital scheduling is preferred
Ability to manage reception, answer and direct phone calls
Strong organizational and communication skills
