Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Dispatcher.

As a Dispatcher, you will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling transportation services to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods.

This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to multitask, and a solid understanding of transportation management systems.

Position available for Monday - Saturday, 7:00 am - 7:00 pm


Responsibilities:

• Receive and process customer orders for transportation services
• Coordinate with drivers and carriers to schedule pickup and delivery times
• Utilize phone systems and computer software to track shipments and update information in realtime
• Monitor routes and adjust schedules as needed to optimize efficiency
• Communicate with customers regarding any delays or changes in delivery status
• Collaborate with logistics team to ensure accurate documentation and compliance with regulations
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly

Experience:

• Previous experience in dispatching or transportation management preferred
• Familiarity with GIS (Geographic Information System) software is a plus
• Knowledge of 3PL (Third Party Logistics) operations and freight industry practices
• Proficiency in using transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management or similar software
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously

Pay:
From $600.00 per week


Schedule:

• 12 hour shift

Ability to Relocate:

• Alexandria, VA 22312: Relocate before starting work (required)
