Responsibilities:

  • Design of optical systems for automotive interior and exterior applications as well as non-automotive projects at Woodbine
  • Working in a multi-project environment throughout the entire project lifecycle, including concept, pre-development, and series development
  • Evaluating conceptual feasibility while considering customer requirements and regulations (function, styling, regulations)
  • Assisting with prototype and sample creation
  • Coordinating and managing development projects in an interdisciplinary team environment
  • Documenting development results and communicating them to national and international customers, providing technical support to customers

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or natural sciences with a focus on optics
  • Several years of industry experience in automotive lighting technology, optics, or optical system development
  • Experience with CATIA V5 and lighting simulation environments (LucidShape, LightTools, Speos, etc.)
  • Ideal experience in designing low beam and high beam functions
  • Knowledge of relevant standards and legal requirements
  • Interest in new, technically complex topics and innovations
  • Attention to detail and conceptual thinking
  • Ability to work independently, goal-oriented, and structured
  • Teamwork, flexibility, and strong communication skills
