Axis Engineering is dedicated to designing and developing assembly solutions, metal forming and inspection fixtures.
To help us drive excellence, as a Tool & Die Maker you'll get to:
Maintain, build, and upgrade dies, fixtures, and gauges.
Studies specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models, or descriptions and visualizes product to determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricate parts.
Make decisions and judgments about proper course of action for repair and maintenance.Demonstrates good short- and long-term decision making in these areas:Tooling troubleshootingDiagnosis of problem and courses of actionTool room repair and maintenance workTool Room machining practicesProgram timing, meeting deadlines Performs all duties and operates machinery & equipment according to MIOSHA standards and company procedures using required safety equipment (gloves, sleeves, ear plugs, etc.).Promotes teamwork and shows a willingness to work with other departments.
Punctual and regular attendance is required.Able and willing to work any shift assigned.
Maintains a high level of confidentiality in all duties.
Keeps work areas clean and orderly.
Participates in continuous improvement activities.
This full-time role is a part of our Tool & Die Department and reports to the Manufacturing ManagerRequired Skills & Abilities:Responsible for reading and understanding the TS16949 and ISO-14001 procedures.
Ability to run all tool room and precision equipment efficiently.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Education and/or Experience:
High school Diploma or general education degree (GED)Journeyman Tool & Die preferred
