    Job Description2nd and 3rd Shift Tool & Die Maker (Journeyman) – Perrysburg, OH – 2024OverviewCompensation: $33.01/Hr *** (new rate increase) with OT Available and Competitive Benefits. 2nd and 3rd Shifts. Rate increase in June.Shift Times - 3rd shift: 10:30pm – 6:30am1st shift: 6:30am – 2:30pm2nd shift: 2:30pm – 11:30pmGeneral Function: Repair, and maintain dies, tooling, and fixtures to support production.
    Job Duties:
    1. Troubleshooting of die issues, changing broken/worn tooling, preventative maintenance in the press and on the bench, completing job set ups on transfer and progressive dies.
    2. Set up and operate all tool room equipment, such as Mills, Grinders, and Lathes to machine parts.
    3. Assist production with problem-solving on tooling issues.
    4. Works from blueprints and sketches to create or modify tools and dies.
    5. Other duties as assigned by management.
    Working Conditions: Plant production is a precision stamping environment; working in and out of presses with tooling. Standing and walking up to 100% of work time. Capable of lifting up to 70 lbs to include; pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, and some stooping.Responsibilities, Skills & Knowledge Requirements:
    1. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, reference material, diagrams, or other manufacturer's material related to the products to be machined. Must have good shop mathematics knowledge.
    2. Must be able to set up and operate all tool room equipment and be familiar with machinery tools such as lathes, grinders, milling machines. CNC Mill and EDM Wire Machining experience is preferred. Must be able to operate a hoist, and cranes.
    3. Able to machine a product within correct tolerances and dimensions utilizing tooling equipment and proper procedures.
    4. Must be able to load and feed steel and material into dies.
    5. Knowledge in adjusting steel/material alignment in dies and performing re-set ups and die changeovers.
    6. Proper use of O.D. & I.D. micrometers, calipers, height gages, thread gages, and dial indicators.
    Qualifications:
    • Work authorization (Required)
    • CNC: 1 year (Preferred)
    Education & Experience Requirements:Must possess one of the following:
    • A Journeyman's Tool & Die Maker's card.
    • Journeyman Tool & Die Maker certificate from a U.S. Department of Labor recognized apprenticeship program.
    • 8 years of proven experience working as a Tool & Die Maker in a manufacturing environment preferred.
