Job Description Summary:

Provide support to the TLAC Business & Administrative office as the front desk receptionist.


Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:


  • High school graduation or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One year of experience in general office or clerical work.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


  • Ability to multitask and provide customer service in a professional office environment.
  • Works well with others.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with the TAMU travel system, Concur.


Essential Duties/Tasks

TLAC Main office point of contact

  • Main office suite security access
  • Answering phones and directing calls to the appropriate party
  • Food/catering orders & deliveries
  • Student and visitor questions

Travel/Concur Support

Office duties

  • Assist with keeping office supplies stocked in storage closet making reorder lists for Business Office and keeping storage closet organized.
  • Submit work orders as needed, including orders of door/desk name plates for new employees

Department event support

  • Assist with department meetings and events setup, breakdown, etc. Other duties as assigned
