The municipality of Neubiberg, located in the district of Munich, is looking for a Deputy Director (m/w/d) for the Senior Center.

The Senior Center is the central point of contact for the 60+ generation, offering a wide range of information, advice, leisure, and educational activities.

The center actively promotes volunteer work and serves as a meeting place for seniors.

The team also provides services in all areas of open senior work and disability work, and advocates for the older generation, their families, and people with disabilities in the community.

We are seeking a Deputy Director to join our team immediately, in a full-time, permanent position.

Your responsibilities will include:

developing and implementing a diverse course and event program, handling press and public relations, promoting civic engagement, networking with surrounding senior facilities and higher authorities, contributing to the conceptual development of senior work in the community, providing social counseling and assistance for seniors and their families, assisting with facility management and administration, and acting as a substitute in the absence of the facility director.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in social pedagogy, social or humanities studies, or a comparable qualification, as well as several years of professional experience in senior work.

They should also have a passion for working with older people, excellent customer service skills, be a team player, flexible, reliable, and proactive, and have strong organizational and communication skills.
