Day Shift, 8:00 am - 4:30pm

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Manager of Environmental Care, the Supervisor is responsible for delivering quality and reliable services to the JHH community that includes patients, families, health care providers, researchers, staff and visitors.
The Environmental Care Supervisor is responsible for developing daily priorities to achieve departmental objectives and goals and to support the programmatic and fiscal strategies for the department.
Ensures that performance standards meet the service expectations of a broad client base, monitors productivity, tracks progress and customer satisfaction, and maintains effective communications with clients and stakeholders.
Education:
Requires a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate's degree preferred.
Years of Experience & Skills:
Five years of environmental services operations or related work experience in a unionized, multiuse facility environment is required.
1 year of demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience required.1 year of experience in a healthcare environmental care services environment preferred.
Skills:
Interpersonal skills to communicate with customers and staff regarding delivery dates, services, staff issues.
Analytical ability to solve problems quickly and accurately for the customers.
Applies cleaning, floor care, trash removal, safety and computer knowledge indicated herein.
Consistently applies effective customer service skills.
Safely uses tools and equipment indicated herein.
Requires proficient written and verbal English communication skills to interact with patients, departmental/JHM staff and outside vendors/contractors.
Ability to supervise front line Bargaining Unit employees who work in disparate locations.
Identifies and avoids hazards as indicated by warning labels, signage, lights and other warning devices.
Performs work within reasonable lengths of time as measured against industry or engineered standards.
