Description

• Manage and lead a team of warehouse staff in the shipping department
• Provide scheduling/work direction to shipping personnel.
• Coordinate and prioritize daily shipping activities
• Oversee inventory control, materials handling, and shipping receiving processes
• Utilize Epicor system for tracking shipments and maintaining accurate records
• Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations in all shipping operations
• Monitor shipment schedules to meet customer delivery requirements
• Identify and correct obstacles that would interfere with shipping schedules.
• People supervisory duties such as approving timecards, counseling employees, coaching, training, career development, performance management and other supervisory tasks as required by the organization.
• Instruct/train employees within department to include new hires and transfers plus crosstrain individuals within the department
• Distributes, and stores products as directed in designated, secure locations.
• Transport and loads materials, parts, supplies, and finished goods (manually and/or using hand trucks, skids, and or with forklift.
• Performs other related duties as assigned

• Proven experience in warehouse supervision, preferably in a shipping environment
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, and distribution processes
• Familiarity with Epicor or similar inventory management systems
• Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve performance targets
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues is a plus
