    Orion180, , is a quickly growing Insurance technology-based insurance company that provides property insurance solutions using an online insurance technology (InsureTech) platform. Orion offers its proprietary homeowner insurance products to insurance agents in multiple states with plans to rapidly expand nationwide. Orion's mission is to offer a suite of proprietary insurance products through both the agent and consumer channels via its best-in-class technology platform.

    Job Summary

    Orion180 is on the hunt for a seasoned Full-Stack Software Developer to enhance our innovative insurance web application. This role is pivotal in leading an agile team in developing robust APIs and integrating 3rd party APIs.

    Role and Responsibilities

    To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and should demonstrate the following competencies to consistently perform the essential functions of this position. All employees are expected to adhere to and be knowledgeable of Orion180 operations standards, established security/safety rules and requirements for attendance. The requirements listed below are representative of the fundamental knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform the job successfully:

    • Craft meticulously designed, testable, and efficient code across the full application stack (UI, API, database).
    • Develop scalable REST endpoints with C# and .NET Core; optimize Linq and SQL queries for performance.
    • Adhere to coding standards and project timelines, ensuring quality and consistency.
    • Collaborate effectively within an Agile Scrum team, following guidance from Product Owners/Managers and meeting sprint commitments.
    • Accurate document architecture and code to ensure clarity and continuity of project deliverables.
    Qualifications and Education Requirements
    • Education: Bachelor's in computer science or related field.
    • Experience: 10+ years in web development.
    Technical Skills:
    • Advanced proficiency in C#, .NET Core, Linq, Azure, SQL, EF, and or similar frameworks.
    • Experienced in developing RESTful APIs and working with SQL databases.

    Leadership: Capable of leading agile teams towards technical excellence, with a solid understanding of agile practices.

    • Self-Management: Demonstrates independence in task management, meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.

    Team Collaboration: Effective in team-oriented environments, with excellent time management, organizational skills, and a keen attention to detail.

    Work Environment

    The office environment is generally quiet and, in a temperature, controlled setting with random adjustments in noise or temperature due conversations, unscheduled maintenance repairs to the building or its interior offices or unpredictable situations due to weather or other acts beyond company control. An employee must be willing to work their regularly assigned work schedule for their duties and/or job responsibilities and in times of need, be able to work an extended schedule depending on company/department needs, project requirements or customer demands.
