JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE:
Compression Operator

DEPARTMENT:
Manufacturing

REPORTS TO:
Manufacturing Manager

POSITION OBJECTIVE:
To operate compression machines and perform in-process verifications to assure tablet quality.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operate tablet press machines and troubleshoot operation
Cross train as backup for Pharmacy and Blending
Monitor tablet quality such as hardness, thickness, weight, friability
Clean and maintain equipment and production rooms
Follow all cGMP requirements as detailed in SOPs
Document all activities in Master Production Records
Communicate any deviations to Supervisor
Provide additional support and assistance on tasks and projects as directed by management

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED.
Prior experience in compression operations preferred
Ability to perform basic math, read, write.
Must work as part of a team.
