Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Billing/Coding Specialist to join our team.

As a Billing?Coding Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately assigning medical codes to patient records for billing and reimbursement purposes.

Your expertise in medical coding and knowledge of industry standards will ensure compliance and accuracy in our coding processes.


Duties:


  • Review medical records and assign appropriate codes using ICD10, ICD9, and other coding systems
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of coded information
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and resolve coding discrepancies
  • Stay updated on changes in coding guidelines and regulations
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with coding standards
  • Assist with medical billing and collections
  • Create and maintain credentials and insurance records
  • Conduct research on updated state and federal regulations and policies
  • Release information to requesting agencies and public inquiries when required by law
  • Help develop internal credentialing processes
  • Monitor license and credential expiration dates and advise staff members of required "renew by" dates
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in health information management or related field preferred
  • Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing/coding, preferably in medical laboratory setting
  • Proficient in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
  • Strong knowledge of ICD10, ICD9, DRG, and other coding systems
  • Familiarity with medical records systems and electronic health records (EHR)
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Note:
All positions at our company are paid positions.


Pay:
$ $24.40 per hour


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

In person
