SUMMARY
The Comprehensive Perinatal Healthcare Worker (CPHW) is an integral member of the Prenatal Care Team. The CPHW interacts with pregnant and postpartum patients as they navigate CNHF and community prenatal services.
This position provides direct clinical care to patients and is responsible for a variety of clerical, lab, education, and follow-up duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following functions:
- Performs client orientation into the CPSP program: services provided, OB staff, program adherence and qualifications.
- Assist in educational classes and videos.
- Perform patient assessments, reassessments, interventions and followup services in: Obstetrics, Nutrition, Psychosocial services and Health Education.
- Performs inhouse testing, including pregnancy testing (if needed), and documents results, may perform other MA related duties such as vaccinations, assistance with OB/GYN procedures.
- Followsup with patients between visits regarding appointments, labs, referrals, etc.
- Acts as a community service liaison.
- Assists with individual case coordination and case management.
- Consults with licensed staff such as MD or NP for dispensing of Prenatal Vitamins.
- Assists patients with forms such as WIC and Disability.
- Leads Prenatal and Parenting Education, individual and group sessions.
- Assists with referrals to outside organizations such as WIC, genetic screening and dental.
- Develops individual care plans and evaluates quality of care.
- Assists with the ordering and maintaining supplies as well as organization of the prenatal education materials.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

- High school diploma
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.
- Ability to complete CPSP Provider Training.
- 1 year of experience in OB/GYN or related practice.
- CPR Certification preferred.

Pay:
$ $25.00 per hour
