Graduate Medical Education (GME) Institutional Coordinator

Position Overview:

The Graduate Medical Education (GME) Institutional Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and requirements related to graduate medical education programs.

This role involves administrative oversight, coordination with various stakeholders, and management of accreditation-related processes.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Provides guidance and support to faculty and staff on GMEC responsibilities, including accreditation compliance, program structure, and annual recommendations.
  • Assists in managing and executing faculty and program contracts, including processing physician payments, and ensure compliance with Program Letters of Agreement
  • Oversees the ACGME Annual Data System (ADS) for the institution and provide technical assistance to programs; oversees the onboarding process in New Innovations along with other NI items.
  • Analyzes and compiles institutional and program statistical data for the Annual Institutional Review (AIR).
  • Coordinates and prepares for accreditation visits and site reviews, including documentation review.
  • Develops agendas, obtains relevant materials, and facilitates GME meetings.
  • Provides training for program coordinators, directors, residents, and faculty on administrative processes, New Innovations, and accreditation compliance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned, that includes assisting with the Vascular Fellowship Program.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, Administration, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum three years of experience in graduate medical education.
  • Experience with hospital administrative duties preferred.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat Pro, MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, ERAS, ADS, and NRMP.
  • New Innovations Super User Required. Experience with IRIS Reporting Preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to train others, communicate effectively, and manage a high volume of data.
