    What the position is:


    As the Senior Manager of Resource Planning and Continuous Improvement at CommuteAir, you play a critical role in ensuring the optimal allocation of human resources across the company's various workgroups.

    Your responsibilities include understanding and tracking staffing needs, adjusting hiring practices accordingly, and implementing Lean Management principles to enhance work processes company-wide.

    Your efforts directly contribute to our operational efficiency and overall success.

    Essential functions:
    Interface with internal departments and external partners to understand labor needs and develop strategic plans to deliver
    Develop and maintain staffing models for multiple workgroups, including pilots, flight attendants, maintenance technicians, and operations center personnel in order to determine staffing requirements and timing

    This requires forecasting attrition, schoolhouse throughput, block hour capability, productivity, and other drivers of staffing needs, and optimizing and adjusting hiring based on both internal and external drivers.

    Work closely with Crew Planning to determine the optimal allocation of crews across bases to meet scheduled block hour targets
    Develop and track metrics/KPIs to evaluate crew and manpower utilization, and perform root cause analyses to recommend corrective actions when targets are not being met
    Utilize Lean Management methodologies to recommend process improvements and minimize waste for various workgroups across the company
    Present analyses in clear, concise manner to executive leadership
    Lead or support various strategic projects as required
    Other duties as assigned
    Bachelor's degree in business, economics, statistics, industrial engineering, aviation, or related field, with at least five years in a highly analytical role; advanced degree or equivalent work experience preferred
    Excellent analytical and problem‐solving skills required
    Multiple years' experience utilizing Lean management methods, Lean Six Sigma, continuous improvement or related area of expertise
    Comfortable working with and analyzing large amounts of data and drawing meaningful conclusions to positively impact the business
    Prior manpower planning and business forecasting experience preferred
    Experience with airline crew planning, scheduling, or operations strongly preferred
    Strong multi-tasking and time management skills
    Excellent technical skills, including being an advanced user of the Microsoft suite of products, with particular emphasis on Excel, PowerBI, and PowerPoint
    Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work well with cross-departmental teams
    A high level of professionalism and genuine customer orientation
