Requirements:
At least a qualifying secondary school leaving certificate
Good grades in technical subjects such as mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology
Responsibilities:
Operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities
Use of chemicals for wastewater and sludge treatment
Sampling and analysis of wastewater and sludge
Handling of electrical equipment
Application of environmental protection principles
Duration, Structure:
The apprenticeship lasts for 3 years, starting on September 1st and is divided into theoretical and practical sections
Theoretical Training:
Block lessons at the State Vocational School in Lauingen (Donau)
Subjects such as wastewater technology, electrical engineering, environmental analysis, and machinery and equipment technology
Practical Training:
The practical part takes place at the wastewater treatment plant of the Würzburg Drainage Department at Mainaustraße 54
Weekly working hours of 39 hours:
Monday-Thursday: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
Friday: 8:00 am - 1:00 pm
