    The Early Learning Quick Assessment (ELQA) is passionate about fostering early literacy and numeracy skills. ELQA is dedicated to monitoring student progress during pre-kindergarten and kindergarten. A strong foundation in literacy and numeracy sets the stage for lifelong learning.


    Duties:

    • Responsible for daily program management by organizing projects, overseeing the processes, and managing financial aspects of the program.
    • Interactions with various stakeholders, conducting meetings, and coordinating data collection.
    • Professional Development and innovation by involving research, design and development of literacy-related topics.
    • Prepare proposals, negotiates contracts, and administer grants
    • Strategic planning and representation by encompassing marketing, business planning, and presenting at conferences.
    • Gathering feedback and analysis by creating customer satisfaction surveys, using data for improvement, and assessing program effectiveness.
    • Supervises staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
    • Performs additional duties as necessary to fulfill the role effectively.

    Required Education:
    Bachelor's degree,


    AND:

    • 48 months of program development, program management or related experience

    Equivalency; Substitution:
    Will accept 48 months of related experience in lieu of the bachelor's degree for a total of 96 months of related experience

    Skills:

    • Able to communicate well and build rapport quickly with students, faculty and staff
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office
    • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines
    • Able to read and interpret policy as well as State and Federal regulations
    • Able to effectively evaluate projects; programs and produce comprehensive reports
    • Able to supervise staff and communicate directions and expectations effectively
    • Strong initiative to solve problems
    • Able to work well with interdepartmental teams and initiativesCertifications:
    • Valid Driver's License

    Advertised Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to engage in repetitive motions
    • Standard Office Environment.
    • Frequent exposure to pressure caused by deadlines and busy periods.
    • May be required to travel.
    • May require contact with other departments and university officials.

    Departmental Preferences:

    • Teaching experience as an early childhood educator, kindergarten teacher, or literacy specialist.
    • Experience managing educational programs.
    • An understanding of early literacy and numeracy development, including age-appropriate milestones and assessment methods.

    Special Instructions:
