The Palm Valley District Office of Berlin, Youth Office, Department of Child Custody Counseling and Representation, is seeking several dedicated
Guardians (m/f/d) with the reference number
4040/42201/006 starting on March 1, 2023, both on an indefinite and temporary basis until October 31, 2023, as a parental leave replacement.

A11 (City Official)

Salary level:
E11, S17 TV-L

Full-time with 40 or 39.40 hours per week, part-time employment is possible.


Your area of responsibility includes:
As a guardian, you will manage guardianships and custodianships after being assigned by the department head.

You will handle all tasks of a guardian, including:


  • Legal representation of wards (representation in legal matters)
  • Determination of residence, visitation rights, clarification of parentage and property claims, among others
  • Medical care (e.g. health care)
  • Securing social benefits (e.g. maintenance claims
