Description

The Receiving Technician supports the Receiving Coordinator in the organization and processing of receipts of material, and the maintenance of inventory stock and records.

He/she is responsible for the receipt and documentation of study drug returns to be processed and stored for re-distribution.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Load and offload material/supplies to/from common carriers or company truck.
  • Receive and stage material/supplies in Receiving Area.
  • Separate general business material/supplies from Job Order and cGMP material/supplies.
  • Enter receipt of material/supplies into Receiving Report database, assigning Batch (Receiving) number to designated Job Order and cGMP material/supplies.
  • Process inbound deliveries in SAP system.
  • Determine if delivered material complies with Purchase Order or Customer provided documentation (notify Project Management and supervisor of discrepancies).
  • Prepare Receiving Reports for ordered material/supplies and Customer provided material/supplies after being received pursuant to SOP.
  • Deliver general business material/supplies to appropriate requester or notify requester if unable to deliver.
  • Position material/supplies to appropriate location and update inventory system (SAP).
  • When required, drive company truck to and from Distribution Center and Main Warehouse or other destinations as assigned.
  • Operate company forklift truck, pallet jack, hand truck, etc. (conduct daily service inspections as required).
  • Ensure work areas are maintained in clean, safe, and organized condition.
  • Coordinate with other company departments and customers to ensure the smooth flow of material.
  • Prepare and distribute periodic reports on inventory and receiving activity.
  • Adhere to set safety standards.
  • Participate actively in regular meetings.
  • Achieve expected performance measures
  • Other duties as assigned.
QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • High School Diploma; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 1 3 years' experience in shipping and warehousing, pharmaceutical and international preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in supply chain management, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet critical timelines.
  • Strong oral and written communication skill to communicate with the team, peers, management, and external contacts.
  • Ability to interpret cGMPs, FDA, DEA, OSHA, and IATA Regulations, and ISO guidelines.
  • Working knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Office Products, including Word, Project, and Excel

Pay:
From $20.00 per hour
