Job DescriptionEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Mechanic is to maintain building and all facility equipment to ensure the safety of all employees and efficiently operate and maintain production schedules. The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible in assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment as well as troubleshooting machinery and performing routine preventative maintenance.
1. Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance.
2. Understanding, troubleshooting PLC's to properly analyze and provide efficient corrective actions/repairs.
3. Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices/machines/equipment in operation.
4. Dismantles machinery and removes/replaces defective parts.
5. Determines changes in requirements of parts by inspecting and measuring various instruments.
6. Maintains inventories of equipment parts and supplies by checking stock and placing orders.
7. Trains production workers on routine preventive maintenance.
8. Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
9. Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
10. Follows industry best practices, SOPs, LOTO procedures, and other safety guidelines.
11. Logs performed maintenance work through either paper documentation or developed CMMS.
12. Maintains a preventative maintenance schedule for inspecting, servicing, and testing machinery.
13. Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Ensuring the SAFETY of all employees is paramount to the job.
Competencies

Knowledge of 110/220/440 high voltage and understanding of low voltage processor boards.

Education and or Experience
High school diploma; 5 years related experience or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, blue prints, operating/maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and other written instructions.
Bilingual Spanish/English a Plus.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
