A global automotive seals and gaskets parts manufacturing company is currently seeking a motivatedEntry level Quality Engineer
to join their facility in the Novi, MI area.
The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years' work experience in automotive industry including Co-op and internship, and the ability to interface effectively with customers and suppliers but Entry level candidates and new graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply
This is a full-time, direct hire position.
Entry Level Quality Engineer Responsibilities:
Responsible for development stage for APQP including model reviews, quality system audit and evaluation
Responsible for coordinating PPAP for new parts, ensure the requirements, and improve the process as needed
Responsible coordinating PCR request from clients and make sure all the changes are meeting customer's requirements
Responsible for Quality claims and monitor the quality records and effectiveness
Use ISO 9001 and IATF16949 system to ensure the quality on production process
Support internal document control program
Support identification of process improvement opportunities
Support continual improvement activities
Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities
Support the deployment of Quality Management System
Monitor the manufacturing quality performance indicators through scrap data analysis
Other duties might be assigned by manager
Entry level Quality Engineer Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Industrial Technology
1+ years' experience in Quality Engineering preferred
Experience in manufacturing quality assurance, cost reduction, and continual improvement will be a plus
Experience with ADQP, PPAP, SPC, Six Sigma, Minitab preferred
Experience with IATF 16949 or ISO 9001 will be a plus
