    Inventory Controller

    FULL-TIME

    $17/hr

    Works closely with Assistant Branch Managers and BranchManager to ensure efficient operations in Inventory, Front End,Cash Room, and Receiving Departments. Maintains a positive companyimage by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient customerservice. Supports the Branch Manager in maintaining companystandards. Can be responsible for holding warehouse keys. Performsmanual labor as needed.

    EssentialFunctions:
    - Maintains the accuracy of the physicalinventory at the branch.
    - Uses a scan gun and movesmerchandise as needed in order to obtain informationneeded
    - Makes decisions on pricing and ensures thatgross margins are maintained on a level required bycorporate.
    - Communicates margin issues to buyers andfollows up for a timely response.
    - Reviews sales pricedifferential reports determining if front end pricing is accurateand makes the appropriate changes.
    - Ensures that cyclecounts are being conducted on a timely and regular basis.
    - Trains all staff for inventory purposes and is responsible forthe preparation and conducting of semi-annualinventories.
    - Coordinates Inventory Control with theReceiving, Perishables, Dry Goods Floor, and Front End to make surelow stock, out of stock, negative on hand, and computer inventoryis correct.
    - Supervises Stock-taker (see # 5).
    - Coordinates writing of adjustment vouchers to vendors for damagesand meets with vendor reps to obtain their approvals.
    -Responsible for liquor and tobacco tax filings with the propergovernmental agencies.
    - Reports shrink and researchcauses.
    - Controls markdowns & voids by monitoringdamages and overstock.
    - Analyzes and determines reasonsfor negative inventory and margins.
    - Reviews storestatistical reports for any abnormal or erroneous data.

    Qualifications
    • Can lift 50 lbs
    • Must be at least 18+years old
    Minimum of 4 years of experiencein retail or wholesale. Background in Physical Inventorymaintenance/control. Proven leadership skills; ability to superviseand direct employees. Ability to calculate figures and amounts suchas discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, mass, andvolume. Must be PC literate; working knowledge of MS Office; 10-keyskills a big plus.
