- Operating a roll former to manufacture metal roof and side panels
- Inspecting produced panels visually to ensure they meet specifications
- Installing panel dies during tooling changes and adjusting to meet specifications
- Recording production quantities per order into the computer system
- Using a forklift to position coils at the un-coiler
- Using overhead cranes to load coil stock
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment and assisting other departments as needed
- Previous experience in a manufacturing/production setting
- Proficiency in forklift operation
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- High school diploma or GED
- Requirements include reading, hearing, talking, driving lift trucks, wearing PPE, and repetitively lifting up to 50 lbs
- Standing or walking for a minimum of 7 ½ hours per work shift
- Tolerance to temperature variations throughout the year
- Moderate to loud noise levels

Job Title: Mill Operator at Metal Sales
Metal Sales stands out as the leading manufacturer of metal roofing and building systems in the country, boasting 21 locations nationwide. Our Longmont, CO branch is currently looking to expand its production team with a job opening for a Mill Operator.
This position offers a standard schedule, working from Monday to Friday starting at 6:00 am and finishing at 2:30 pm. However, occasional overtime, including weekend shifts, may be necessary.
The salary for this role falls within the range of $23.00 per hour.
A Mill Operator plays a crucial role in our production team by safely handling roll formers, coil slitters, and flat sheet shears to produce top-quality metal roofing and wall panels.
