Description

We are seeking a full-time housekeeping assistant to clean resident rooms and other interior and exterior facility areas under the supervision of the Housekeeping Supervisor.

You will assist in maintaining a positive physical and psycho-social environment for the residents.


Minimum Qualifications:


  • Willingness to perform a variety of simple repetitive tasks, many of which will involve unpleasant conditions.
  • Practical knowledge of daytoday cleaning in a nursing facility.
  • Organized and detailed in work performance.
  • Good communication skills with excellent selfdiscipline and patience.
  • Genuine caring for and interest in elderly and disabled people in a nursing facility.
  • Comply with the Residents' Rights and Facility Policies and Procedures.
  • Perform work tasks within the physical demand requirements as outlined below.

Sitting
1-2 hours per 8 hour work shift. Alternates frequently to walking.


Walking
5-7 hours per 8 hour work shift. Alternates frequently to standing and occasionally to sitting.


Standing
3-4 hours per 8 hour work shift. Alternating frequently to walking and occasionally to sitting.


EMPLOYMENT AT WILL:

I understand and agree that my employment is for no definite period and may, regardless of the date of payment of my wages and salary, be terminated at any time without prior notice and without cause by either party, unless provided otherwise by a written agreement signed by the President of this company.
