Duties:


  • Administers the Information Security Program protecting the enterprise from espionage, terrorism, and threats of unauthorized disclosure and/or compromise of information or material considered vital to enterprise mission interests, national defense or national security.
  • Provides enterprise and subordinate organizations worldwide with authoritative guidance on aspects concerning physical security programs for the protection of classified national security information, both Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and collateral information.
  • Manages the Industrial Security Program. Provides effective guidance, training, and direction to subordinate assigned organizations/activities/units on industrial security program matters. Provides enterprise oversight to subordinate organizations on the visitor agreement process to ensure effective management of their program.

  • All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a twoyear DCIPS trial period.
  • Must be registered for Selective Service, see Legal and Regulatory Guide
  • The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments
  • DOD Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) and Security Asset Protection Professional Certification (SAPPC) conferrals are required within 2 years of the established assignment date to this position.

Qualifications:


In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.

Salary Ranges includes local market supplement
This is a GG-13 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence personnel System (DCIPS).

The GG-13 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-13 level.

The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

  • 1. Knowledge of a wide range of advanced concepts, principles, criteria, requirements, technology, and practices involved in security.
  • 2. Knowledge of security program interrelationships to coordinate the objectives and plans of two or more
- specialized programs to support and promote information sharing and strategies.

  • 3. Skill to interpret a variety of security program laws, directives, regulations, and guidance to assist subordinate organizations in establishing and operating internal security programs. alternatives according to the security requirements for highly specific situations, availability of materials,
- relationships with other protective programs, and cost/benefit considerations.

  • 5. Ability to communicate orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and accurately to a large range of audiences.
  • 6. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
