    This position will function as the subject matter expert for the Utility operational control systems required for the operation of water/waste water treatment plants and remote facilities.

    Supports the business with the design, planning, and project management of the operational control systems.

    The operational controls system engineer will assist with ensuring SUEZ's control systems are in compliance with SUEZ, Industry, Federal, and State cyber security rules, guidelines, polices, and best practices.

    Define control system requirements that align with the SUEZ Utility National Standards and Guidelines Control System project management, including development of control system specification, project procurement, and project execution.

    Interface with operations, engineering, IT, and other groups to ensure control system cyber security policies, procedures, and infrastructure are adhered to and maintained.

    Troubleshoot systems, perform root cause analysis, identify resolution options, and implement best option.
    Develop and apply test plans to insure quality before SUEZ signs off on SCADA systems.
    Develop and implement provisions to support ongoing SCADA system operations (Maintenance, security, backup, etc.).
    Supports SCADA integration with other operational systems such as Geographical Information Systems, Asset Management, Water Quality reporting, etc.
    Supports the Utility Division with system acquisition opportunity evaluations, and integrations as requested.

    Keep abreast of the latest technological advances in operational control system technology such as hardware, software, and emerging solutions.

    Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent degree.
    ~ Master's degree in Electrical or Controls Engineer is a plus.
    ~- 7 years in control system technology.
    ~ Experience in Water and Waste Water plants and networks extremely helpful, but no required.
    ~ Hands on experience in PLC/HMI system programming required.
    Demonstrated knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, and controls.
    Communication systems, including radio, cellular, and TCP/IP networking a plus.
    Knowledge in industrial cybersecurity subject matter and topics extremely helpful.
    TCP/IP networking knowledge a plus.
    Ability to interface well with all levels of staff and management.
    Knowledge of and curiosity around innovative process control and operational technologies, methods, and practices.
    Some travel required.
    Able to climb ladders, enter confined spaces to where the SCADA equipment is located.
    Be available to support operations whenever needed (occasional nights and weekends).
