Description

National Capital Treatment & Recovery, formerly Phoenix House, a substance abuse treatment facility in Arlington, VA is currently seeking a full-time Residential Specialist to join
our Adult Women's Residential Program. Responsibilities include monitoring the therapeutic milieu and client activities, responding to client's crises and emergencies as needed.

This position requires the individual to possess good boundary guidelines within the scope and setting of the therapeutic interaction. This position assures a safe and drug free environment and provides Life Skills and 12 Step Education.
This position is full-time, working Wednesday-Sunday, 3pm-11pm with full benefits.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • EDUCATION/

CREDENTIALS:
_

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Certification as a substance abuse counselor (CSAC-A, CAC, CSAC) required
  • EXPERIENCE:_
  • Minimum one (1) year experience working in a substance abuse treatment setting preferred
  • KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/

ABILITIES:
_

  • Knowledge of addiction treatment and of 12 Step recovery process preferred
  • Certified in First Aid and CPR, Medication Management a plus
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus

Pay:
$ $25.00 per hour
