Description

Purpose

The Expeditor is responsible for creating work orders as planned by the planner, picking and allocating material by specific part number, lot number, and quantity to provide kitted work orders to manufacturing.

The Expeditor will also be responsible for closing the work orders in the appropriate warehouse and transferring inventory within the warehouse structure of the department.

Key responsibilities for the Expeditor are to:

Ensure stock accuracy on all stock control software.
Produce and Prepare material paperwork and issue to shop floor.
Pick, organize and present material kit lists to manufacturing for further processing.
Support the Planning department to ensure all daily, weekly, and monthly Planning targets are met.
Support regular inventory audits & reconciliation activities to ensure inventory accuracy.
Implement the 5's principles (Sort, Set, Shine, Standardise and Sustain) ensuring adherence on a daily basis.
Adhere to all work instructions, general visual aids, and standard operating procedures.
Hold manufacturing accountable for additional inventory requests. Document and transact material as required.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Inventory control experience in a manufacturing environment.
Comfortable and proficient with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Experience with computerbased warehouse management systems.
Ability to work as part of a team but take ownership of individual tasks.
