About this job
Nosco is looking for a Printing Press Platemaker on second shift at our Pleasant Prairie, WI facility.

As an employee owner in this position, you will provide support in the production of Litho & Flexo plates along with other pre-production material for various presses in multiple value streams.

In this role, you will

Within the first year, build a solid foundation of print and prepress that covers all value streams at Nosco.
Working as a group to achieve 5days ahead of the print/production run date.
Within the first year become fully proficient in running and PM of litho and flexo equipment
Within the first year, become proficient in the Graphic Services file structure and able to navigate each folder with ease.
Quality is the heart of all that we do, as a Graphic Services specialist proofing skills are of the upmost importance. Within the first year one must master the art and tools in proofreading
Able to use tools to understand proper file builds for customer and production use. This includes reading internal/external drawing and specs, color separations, measuring varnish knockouts and other elements related to fit, form and function to the value stream.

Success factors

Ability to read and understand complex, technical specification requirements and accurately translate to Nosco's business control systems. Knowledge of printing and packaging is preferred.
Effective time management and organizational skills, with an ability to effectively prioritize incoming requests. Flexible to work adjusted hours including 2nd or 3rd shift to accommodate customer launches.
Welldeveloped interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to effectively work with individuals throughout the company and at multiple manufacturing sites, as well as directly with customers.
Must meet the following physical requirements:
Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Must be able to regularly lift 15 pounds and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
Work at a computer for extended periods of time and have manual dexterity for computer work.
Long periods of concentration.
Speaking, hearing and vision are also essential to performing job functions.
