    Amazon is looking for a dynamic, innovative and accomplished Senior Technical Program Manager to join Core Services team under Worldwide Selling Partner Services organization.


    In this role you will be responsible for scoping complex projects and delivering simple, elegant solutions by collecting product and business requirements, driving the development schedule from design to release, making appropriate tradeoffs to optimize time-to-market, and clearly communicating goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to internal cross-functional teams.

    You will interact with a broad cross section of the Amazon organization as you clarify ambiguous issues and negotiate effective technical solutions between development and business teams.

    You will anticipate bottlenecks and escalate issues when required in order to ensure on-time delivery.


    The role requires a seasoned individual who has excellent experience as a Technical Program Manager for distributed SOA software systems and can guide high-level technical design as well as think about potential, future areas of fraud that our platform might encounter.

    Key job responsibilities


    • Provide guidance, support, mentor and grow the team of Software, Systems and support engineers
    • Coordinate with leaders (Tech, Business and operations) to achieving the systems engineering goals/charter by owning and driving the key Operational Excellence Initiatives
    • Provide support on technical and operational issues related to software and hardware.
    • Work / support operations and maintenance driven coding projects with the potential for Java based projects.
    • Enable automation of manual workflows to improve productivity of the Support Team & develop appropriate tools.
    • Software deployment support in staging and production environments,
    • Develop tools to aid operations and maintenance.
    • System and support status reporting.
    • Customer notification, workflow coordination and follow-up to maintain service level agreements.

    As a part of WW Selling Partner Services organization, Core Services provides services to help Amazon Selling Partners be successful, deliver the most trusted shopping and selling experience, and provide powerful solutions to accelerate Selling Partner business growth.

    We prevent fraud and abuse as guardians for all customers and delight our buying customers by enabling Selling Partners to succeed.

    We are responsible for developing high scale machine learning systems that empower scientists to move faster in response to bad actors.

    We accelerate the intersection of science and technology to protect customer trust at Amazon scale.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
    • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
    • 3+ years of software development experience
    • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
    • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
    • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
    • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets.

    The base pay for this position ranges from $119,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market.

    Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
